You will be required to enter your Social Security number (SSN) each time you access the Paperless Pay system. Once you key in your SSN, you will be required to enter a PIN (Personal Identification Number) number. If you have already used TALX’s The Work Number®, you can use the same PIN, provided your PIN is eight digits in length or longer. If not, or if you have not accessed the Work Number, the default PIN will be the last four digits of your social security number and your birth year. For example, if you were born May 1951 and your social security ends in 1234, your default PIN would be 12341951. Once you log in, you can change your PIN. Your PIN must be all numeric and can NOT be your Social Security number.
NOTE: You will be required to change your Password every 90 days
Yes, you have five attempts to enter the correct PIN (Personal Identification Number). If you do not remember your PIN, you should select the ‘Forgot your PIN?’ question on the screen. You will be asked to answer one of your security questions and then enter in a new PIN.
Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) at the Paperless Pay Call Center are available at 888-641-3729 to help you during normal business hours (7:00 am – 8:00 pm CST) if you have locked yourself out of Paperless Pay.
For security purposes, the Customer Service Representative will ask you several questions to validate your identity before unlocking your record. These questions could include name, hire date, address, etc.
No, you can also view/print your paystub in Spanish. You can select your preferred language on the Main Menu.
Yes, your paystubs will accumulate each pay period and are available for viewing for a period up to three years.
NOTE: You will only be available to view paystubs from the go-live period forward. No historical data will be available for viewing online.
Your paystub is available to view 24 hours before your pay day.
Yes, you can sign up for an email or text alert. To sign up, access the Personal Information tab on the main menu and select Edit/Alert tab under the ALERT section. You will then be able to enter your email address.
NOTE: If you choose an email address that is sent to your phone, text messaging charges may apply.
No, you can only hear a summary of your paystub information which includes check date, total hours worked, net pay and net pay distribution.
Yes, however, at this time, Equifax does not have a mobile application for Paperless Pay. Therefore, you will need to use a computer to complete your initial registration prior to using a mobile device to access the site. Once registered, you can access the site using a mobile device by using the URL:https://paperlesspay.talx.com/kindred
Yes, however, you must access through the URL address: https://paperlesspay.talx.com/kindred
At this time, the only data you can update on the Paperless Pay site are your PIN (Personal Identification Number) and email alert. All other changes, such as address, phone numbers, W4 changes and direct deposit account information, must be done by contacting your PBC or HR Assistant.
Equifax Paperless Pay uses Risk Based Authentication – Enhanced Security Enrollment (RBA). RBA is the process by which you provide us with the information that will be used to verify your identity in the future. This is an innovative way to both protect your identity and to add a new layer of protection to your online account. During your initial login you will be prompted to reset your default PIN (Personal Identification Number), select a personal security image, and enter and answer a series of questions that will be used for securing your information. After the initial login, you are required to enter your Social Security Number and your recently created PIN to access your data. By completing this simple process, you’ll know you’re at an authenticated site where you’ll see your security image, which you chose during enrollment. We’ll know it’s really you because we can validate your identity against the information you have provided to us during enrollment.
Kindred has provided Equifax Paperless Pay some of your personal information so that we can properly verify you when you log in.
Yes, Kindred provides both Direct Deposit and Payroll Check information to Equifax Paperless Pay.
Paperless Pay is a very secure site in order to protect your private information. This application does not allow use of the BACK button in the browser to ensure that someone else cannot easily back into your information once you finish using Paperless Pay.
To return to a previous page when in Paperless Pay, use the links on the left under My Account or use the Return to Pay Summary when on the Paystub Detail page.
If the page expires, you will need to log back in to Paperless Pay: https://paperlesspay.talx.com/kindred
Under My Account, just click the Main Menu and you will return to the first screen. Do not use the browser BACK button when in Paperless Pay.
Yes, however, since this is a secure website, you must first access the Paperless Pay web page and then select “Add this page to your favorite sites” which is located on the right side of the login page.

Directly above the upper left corner of the gray box you will see a small printer icon. Click that and your paystub will print. Or you can click the printer icon on your browser.
Yes. You can request a faxed copy of your paystub. The system will attempt to fax your paystub to a fax number you provide on the telephone. Make sure this is a fax you can get to quickly or one that is in a secure place, if you can’t. The system will try to send the paystub for a very limited time only (15 minutes). If the line is busy or the phone number is wrong and it is unsuccessful in sending your paystub, it will stop attempting to send to ensure the security of your information is maintained. You will need to request the fax again with the correct phone number or at a time when the fax number you use is not busy.
Yes. You can access and print your statement at your facility.
Encryption is a process by which data is “scrambled” in transit. The only parties who can see the data in a readable format are the sender and intended receiver.
Protecting our clients’ confidential data is crucial; consequently, we have adopted the 128-bit encryption standard for the ePayroll application.
Many popular browsers offer 128-bit SSL versions. We recommend that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer.
To find out if your current version of Internet Explorer supports 128-bit encryption, follow these instructions:
Internet Explorer 5.x: From the “Help” menu, select “About Internet Explorer”.
The subsequent window will say: “Cipher Strength: 128-bit supported” in the middle of the page if 128-bit encryption is provided. Otherwise, it will say: “Cipher Strength: 40-bit supported”.
If you have the 40-bit version, you should upgrade to the 128-bit compatible Internet Explorer.
If you are using a Kindred device, contact the Kindred Help Desk. If you are using a personal device (home computer, iPad, phone, etc) and want to upgrade your version of Internet Explorer, visit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/128bit/intro.htm and follow the directions for downloading.

With the sensitivity of the data contained in Paperless Pay, the application prevents the capturing of bookmarks. You may receive what appears to be a programming error, or a message that reads: “Application Error: It appears that you have “bookmarked” a page in the Paperless Payroll application. While this may seem reasonable, the sensitivity of your information prevents the Paperless Payroll application from allowing bookmarks.”
You should either type the full address of the URL into the address line of your browser: https://paperlesspay.talx.com/kindred or click the dropdown box in your address line and choose the URL from that list. When you access Paperless Pay through the intranet, the link will take you directly to Paperless Pay. Therefore, you will be able to bookmark this page to access Paperless Pay.
